MeoptaUSA Sport Optics launches a new straight-body spotting scope model, announcing the MeoPro HD 80. The MeoPro first debuted as an angled body model, boasting a one-piece style with fixed 20x to 60x eyepiece. Using an 80mm fluoride objective lens, the MeoPro HD 80 aims to provide maximum light transmission paired with sharp resolution in low light shooting conditions.

The MeoPro HD 80 employs a Centric Drive mid-body focus control which allows for use even when wearing gloves. The spotting scope comes with MeoBright technology, offering ion-assisted multi-coatings which eliminate glare. The spotting scope also uses Meopta’s hydrophobic lens coating, MeoDrop, resisting rain, snow, skin oils and dirt. The company said it’s thrilled to provide more options to its consumer base.

“We are excited to finally offer our customers a choice between angled and straight body in our MeoPro HD 80 spotting scope,” Randy Garrison, director of Meopta USA Sport Optics, said in a news release. “The MeoPro HD 80 is a high-performance spotter that has been a big seller for us. Hunters, optics experts, guides and outfitters quickly recognized the exceptional value of this optic when we introduced the first model, and we continue to deliver European-quality optics at great price points across all of our lines.”

The MeoPro HD 80 is nitrogen purged, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof. The scope comes as either its own separate entity or as a kit with tripod, smartphone adapter and carrying case. The MeoPro HD 80 on its own retails for $1,599 while the kit is priced at $1,699.
