Product Overview
Cutting Edge describes the Maximus line as a hybrid between the high BC MTH bullets and the Raptor bullets, for high BC and high trauma. The patented SealTite band is slightly larger than caliber diameter and is there to limit gas blow-by and copper fouling.
After 1-2" of penetration, 4-8 blades break off and create one large wound channel. Eight blades break off at impact velocities over 2400fps, and below that, 4 larger blades break off down to 1400fps.
Cutting Edge calls this version the Fracture Control Groove (FCG) design.
